Here you can access resources for admitted students.
Roadmap
Recently admitted students should consult the appropriate roadmap for instructions. The roadmaps outline specific steps necessary to complete enrollment and registration.
Letter of Admission
Submit items as indicated in the Letter of Admission. Check UTLink as you complete the items below, each hold on your registration should be removed.
- Letter of Acceptance stating that you accept your position SEND TO Registrar
- $50 to hold your place (applied to your tuition and fees) SEND TO Registrar
- Residency Status Questionnaire SEND TO Registrar
- Immunization Form SEND TO Student Health
- Health Insurance Waiver (if you have health insurance) SEND TO Auxiliary Enterprise
- Complete criminal
background check per instructions.
- Provide any documents, scores, etc to meet the conditions that may be
listed on your letter of admission.
New Student Orientation
Complete New Student Orientation by following instructions provided.Course Selection
- Select courses for your first semester (Course Offerings)
- Contact instructor for permission to take the course.
- Contact Student Affairs with the instructor permission to get the approval number to register.
Registration, LDAP & Moodle
- Register & pay fees in UTLink. Contact appropriate office for any
remaining holds. Contact Student Affairs if problems clearing holds
persist.
- Check the Booklist for
the course(s) you are registered for and buy books/resources.
- Receive your LDAP ID, LDAP password and UT email address through a phone
call. DO NOT SHARE YOUR ID AND PASSWORD.
- Use your LDAP ID and password to log into Moodle, the courseware system for SHIS. The classes you are enrolled in show up on the left hand side under "My Courses". If the classes there do not match what you registered for in UTLink, please contact Debbie Todd in Student Affairs, (713) 500-3903 right away.
- Get an ID badge for building access from Bursar's Office. See Student Affairs for access to SHIS specific areas.
- Go to class. If you have completed all steps successfully, you should be ready for your first semester.
