Yanko Michea - Learning and Technology PhD
Yanko Michea, MD, MS, PhD received both his MS and PhD degrees from the school. His PhD dissertion (2004) involved the use of multimedia in medical education.
Projects while at SHIS
Dr. Michea was part of the LEARN team, working on web-based games for the Braindomain student site.
Current Position
Dr. Michea is the Director of Faculty Instructional Technology Services
at the University of Connecticut. Projects in progress include:Virtual Microscope - allows students to review histology slides
ECG Curriculum - open to anyone wanting to improve ECG interpretation skills
CT Scan Anatomy - shows CT and photographic images side by side to help students learn
