Vittorio Cristini, Ph.D. joins SHIS Faculty
Vittorio Cristini, Ph.D. has accepted an appointment as an Associate Professor at the UT School of Health Information Sciences, effective December, 2006.
Vittorio Cristini, Ph.D. has accepted an appointment as an Associate Professor at the UT School of Health Information Sciences, effective December, 2006. Dr. Cristini will be coming from the University of California at Irvine, where he has been an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering since 2002 and of Applied Mathematics since 2003.
His teaching experience includes transferring engineering principles into biology. His primary research interest is in the development, integration and application of computational and experimental models in the field of predictive oncology. Specifically, he will be focusing on the integrated computational and experimental study of tumor response to chemotherapy, with particular attention to effects of biobarriers.
Dr. Cristini earned his doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Yale.
