Calendar of deadlines for annual reviews, appointments, promotions and tenure considerations and notifications
June 10
Tenured and tenure-track Faculty who have been here 6 years or multiples of 6 years submit dossiers to Dean for the special 6 year review.
July 1
Dean submits 6-YEAR Dossiers to the Faculty Advisory Committee
Faculty prepare Annual Performance Evaluation (APE) for year ending
July 15
Faculty notify Dean of intent to request promotion or tenure next year
August 15
Academic Advisory Committee recommends 6 yr reviews to the Dean
Recommendation of AAC transmitted to faculty by Dean
August 31
Dean notifies any faculty of three years or more who will not be reappointed effective August 31 of the following calendar year.
September 1
Faculty submit Annual Faculty Plan (AFP) for current year to Dean
Faculty submit Annual Faculty Performance Evaluation and AFP for past year to Dean
September 25
Dean and Faculty sign agreement on Annual Faculty Plan
October 1
Faculty Member submits to the Dean’s Office:
• Annual Performance Evaluations for previous year and Annual Faculty Plans for previous Academic Year are due in Dean’s Office
• Dossier for Promotion this academic year are due in Dean’s Office
• Dossier for Tenure this academic year are due in Dean’s Office
October 18
Faculty Member and Dean finalize Annual Performance Review Document
October 20
Dean requests Academic Advisory Committee to:
• Review all faculty APE and AFPs
• Review all appointments of faculty to tenure-track positions
• Review requests for promotion
• Review requests for tenure
November 15
Academic Advisory Committee submits recommendations to the Dean on APE/AFPs, requests for promotion, requests for tenure, and faculty merit pay considerations
November 20
Dean notifies faculty member of recommendations of Academic Advisory Committee
December 1
Dean notifies non-tenured faculty of 2 years who will not be reappointed effective the following calendar year
Executive Committee submits Tenure-track appointments since October 10 to Dean.
December 15
Dean requests Academic Advisory Committee to review tenure-track
Dean notifies faculty of date for six-year review
January 20
Academic Advisory Committee recommendations for tenure-track appointments
due to Dean
February 1
Dean submits APT requests and recommend to Univ. APT committee
March 1
Dean notifies any tenure-track faculty (of 1 year here) who will not be reappointed effective
8/31 of that calendar year. Dean transmits actions of University APT committee to faculty member
Each 6th Year of Tenure or Tenure-Track Before August 31
Six-year comprehensive review of faculty member
8th Year of Service: Before August 31
Faculty on tenure-track must be considered for tenure
