Clinical decision support systems (CDSS) have been touted to be one of the most important aspects of healthcare information systems to improve quality and patient safety. This course will provide an overview of the history and theory of CDSS, and how CDS interventions are planned, designed, tested, implemented and measured for effectiveness. Regional and national leaders in the CDSS field will be guest lecturers.
