Certificate of Health Informatics Classes
Here are the classes that are part of the Certificate of Health Informatics program.
The Certificate in Health Informatics - Option 1 consists of five classes, listed below:
- HI 5310 Foundations of Health Information Sciences I
- HI 5006 Information Technology for Biomedicine
- HI 5309 Introduction to Health Data and Health Records
- HI 6312 Project Management in Health Care
- HI 6309 Healthcare Interface Design
Foundations of Health Informatics I should be taken in the first semester. The other four classes can be taken in any order. Each class will be offered at least twice a year. Note: The class list is a change from what is listed in our printed brochure.
The Certificate in Health Informatics - Option 2 consists of any five classes offered by the School of Health Information Sciences. For example, a certificate focusing on research in teaching and learning could include:
- HI 5310 Foundations of Health Information Sciences I
- HI 5352 Statistical Methods for Health Informatics
- HI 5000 Technical Writing for Health Informatics
- HI 5316 Emerging Technologies for Teaching, Learning and Research
- HI 5340 Introduction to Learning Environments in the Health Sciences
