His current work focuses on two areas: (1) improving patient safety by reducing medical errors caused by poor device and software interfaces, as well as errors that arise due to pressures placed on caregivers by the healthcare system in which they work; and (2) improving decision making and efficiency through user-centered software design and decision support systems.
