About the School of Health Information Sciences
The School of Health Information Sciences is the first and only school in the country devoted exclusively to Certificate, Masters and PhD Programs in Health Informatics. It is recognized nationally and internationally for innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to research and education. The School provides educational and research opportunities in Informatics to healthcare professionals, biomedical scientists, and computer scientists in interdisciplinary teams, committed to collaboration at local, national, and global levels. The School was founded in 1997, and is one of six schools in The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
